Founding his menswear label years later in 1984, the artisan was instantly plagued as “l’enfant terrible” for his outlandish, inexcusable designs. Consciously reconstructing our vision of beauty, he experimented without remorse, pulling from the likes of taboo niches. Utilizing rebellious textiles, Gaultier conveyed his message through inventive mediums, popularizing the mesh full print silhouette. He stomped on guidelines in pursuit of creative expression and was successful in doing so, hailed as a fashion forefather and true Magnus opus in his field.

This incredible depiction of a battle scene consumes the lower portion of this mesh top, bleeding into an eerily blue sky above.
