Twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten’s legendary Canadian label Dsquared, founded in 1992, has a longstanding history, dating far before the brand’s recent popularity that has spread like wildfire. The Caten brothers grew up in Toronto, leaving the city for a short stint at Parsons School of design after dropping out only one semester into their post-secondary education. Gaining hands-on experience under Gianni Versace and Diesel, the two built their own brand from the ground up in the early 90’s, later forming their menswear line Dsqaured2 in 1995.
