Alyx

Matthew M. Williams’ non-traditional fashion background stemmed almost primarily from hands-on experience. Rejected from Parsons School of Design, Williams landed a job as a production manager and expanded his breadth by designing stage costumes. This inside baseball coverage of fashion through a music dominated lens allowed Williams to establish major connections, which brought him to Kanye West’s Pastelle in 2007. Here, Williams honed his craft, building his own true design ethos, which would eventually lead to the birth of his own label Alyx, in years following.
