Vivienne Westwood is a British fashion designer and icon who has been a leading figure in the fashion industry for over four decades. Born in Derbyshire, England in 1941, Westwood began her career in the early 1970s, opening her first boutique in London with her partner Malcolm McLaren. Westwood's designs are known for their bold, daring, and often controversial aesthetic, incorporating elements of punk and historical fashion into her work. She is credited with helping to shape the punk fashion movement of the 1970s and 1980s, having pieces from her boutique ‘Sex Shop’, placed on the likes of the Sex Pistols, placing her work in infamous notoriety.
