Pelle Pelle’s undeniable ties to the creation of modern street style is a relationship that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. The first brand to create baggy designer pants in the early 1980’s, Marc Buchanan’s proudly American label would go on to be a pinnacle of rap and hip hop’s flowy, relaxed dress code. Merging their marketing campaigns with rappers of the era such as Dru Hill and The Alkaholiks, Pellé Pellé truly broke the industry standard by unifying popular culture with luxury goods. Closing down in 2018, Marc Buchanan’s legacy of classic leather goods is one I hope to carry on through collecting and presenting some of his finest work

Incredibly preserved through nearly 30 years of aging, this particular Pelle Pelle calfskin leather bomber jacket features massive silver and white gold patch branding on both sleeves. Elevated with slim shoulder pads to provide the piece with a more structured appearance, this jacket is accented with intricate leather lacing details that are threaded up either side of the front-zipper hardware.
