(FOR SALE) A Spring Summer 2001 Jean Paul Gaultier ‘Satan’ Pierced Crossbody Side-Bag

Jean Paul Gaultier is a French designer who has rewrote the industry rules since inception in 1976. Founding his menswear label years later in 1984, the artisan was instantly plagued as “l’enfant terrible” for his outlandish, inexcusable designs. Consciously reconstructing our vision of beauty, he experimented without remorse, pulling from the likes of taboo niches. Utilizing rebellious textiles, Gaultier conveyed his message through inventive mediums, popularizing the mesh full print silhouette. He stomped on guidelines in pursuit of creative expression and was successful in doing so, hailed as a fashion forefather and true Magnus opus in his field.

This particular graphic remains the pinnacle of Gaultier’s legendary iconography,  in which he utilized the gargoyle graphic as a central motif for his Spring Summer 2001 menswear and womenswear collections.. Regarded by many as the ‘Satan’ illustration. this Featuring a demonic gargoyle, crouched menacingly below a gothic Jean Paul Gaultier emblem. As lightning crashes and a full moon rests softly in the background, this piece is accompanied by silver chains draping around the bag and piercings gouging the bottom. In pristine overall condition, here is the opportunity to purchase a massive Jean Paul Gaultier grail that’s become increasingly hard to find as the years go on.
