 Another prodigy whose roots lie in the established Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Dirk Bikkembergs cultivated utilitarian style has made a massive resurgence in recent years, and rightfully so. Much of this inspiration for his militaristic design can be accredited to his father’s active duty as a member of the Belgian Army. Bikkembergs’ fascination with this rugged luxury aesthetic was decades ahead of its time, solidifying his place in the legendary Antwerp Six. 

This is an insanely rare iteration of the infamous ‘Bungee Boots’ one of Bikkembergs most coveted designs. I’ve never seen this particular height available for purchase before in any colorway. Coming in a sand brown, these boots are complimented by silver wraparound bungee cords that connect to the top of the boot and clip into the steel reinforced heel. Best suited for a size US 9 (EU 42) these boots are in great overall shape with only small marks of wear.
