(FOR SALE) An Autumn Winter 2004 Yohji Yamamoto Y’s x Dainese Leather ‘Riders’ Biker-Moto Jacket
Born in Italy, founder Lino Dainese and friends would take a moped trip to London, where they first saw riders wearing protective leather gear, designed specifically for riding. It’s here that Lino Dainese would find his inspiration to make a more fashion-forward iteration of what he laid eyes upon. Dedicating himself to creating Dainese Leather over the next four years, the company was founded in 1972. Many of the first motorcycle gear innovations were made through Lino Dainese’s label, including the first back-protector, which is now industry standard to have on all professional riders. By collaborating with track racers, the free advertising from the World Championship Series would give the brand its current status.
This gorgeous rendition of a traditional motorcycle jacket made in collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto is rebuilt from the ground up. Adorned with signature racing style patches done in a lifted leather material, this jacket, despite its breathtaking appearance, is still designed for high performance wear. Polished off with a quilted interior, this jacket is a tagged size 52 and comes brand new with original tags attached from 20 years ago. Here is the incredible opportunity to purchase a holy grail from Yohji Yamamoto’s collaboration with Italian bike-wear brand Dainese Leather.
