Autumn Winter 1995 Jean Paul Gaultier ‘Cyborg’ Mesh Long Sleeve Shirt
(FOR SALE) An Autumn Winter 1995 Jean Paul Gaultier ‘Cyborg’ Mesh Long Sleeve Shirt.
Jean Paul Gaultier is a French designer who has rewrote the industry rules since inception in 1976. Founding his menswear label years later in 1984, the artisan was instantly plagued as “l’enfant terrible” for his outlandish, inexcusable designs. Consciously reconstructing our vision of beauty, he experimented without remorse, pulling from the likes of taboo niches. Utilizing rebellious textiles, Gaultier conveyed his message through inventive mediums, popularizing the mesh full print silhouette. He stomped on guidelines in pursuit of creative expression and was successful in doing so, hailed as a fashion forefather and true Magnus opus in his field.
This piece continues on the theme of futurism and almost a comic strip style graphic, which was the thematic base of his prior Spring Summer collection. Featuring a horned cyborg villain accompanied by an analog text with Gaultier branding and the year beside it (shown in slide 5) this piece is a size men’s medium and is in great overall condition with no flaws. Here is the opportunity to purchase an iconic Jean Paul Gaultier piece from his Autumn Winter 1995 collection.
