(FOR SALE) An Autumn Winter 2003 Jean Paul Gaultier ‘Wilting Trees’ Mesh Long Sleeve Shirt.

Jean Paul Gaultier is a French designer who has rewrote the industry rules since inception in 1976. Founding his menswear label years later in 1984, the artisan was instantly plagued as “l’enfant terrible” for his outlandish, inexcusable designs. Consciously reconstructing our vision of beauty, he experimented without remorse, pulling from the likes of taboo niches. Utilizing rebellious textiles, Gaultier conveyed his message through inventive mediums, popularizing the mesh full print silhouette. He stomped on guidelines in pursuit of creative expression and was successful in doing so, hailed as a fashion forefather and true Magnus opus in his field.

One of Gaultier’s most iconic collections, the Autumn Winter 2003 Jean Paul Gaultier collection features some of my favorite graphic shirts I’ve accumulated over the years, which include the ‘skeletal corpse’ piece and clock top. This piece features a withering tree, bare from leaves and surrounded by a gloomy atmosphere. Coming in a size medium, this piece is in pristine overall condition. Here is the opportunity to purchase a lesser known grail from Gaultier’s Autumn Winter 2003 menswear runway.
