2005 Takashi Murakami Complete Collection of Figurines

(FOR SALE) The complete collection of 2005 Takashi Murakami Superflat Museum Japan exclusive figurines. “Superflat” is a term coined by Murakami himself to describe his own artistic medium. Best described as a two-dimensional style that straddles the division between fine art and pop culture, Murakami’s work fuses the likes of anime, psychedelics and Japanese Nihonga.

This Japan exclusive launch of collectible figurines was released in limited quantities and the only other full set I’ve seen was auctioned off at an art exhibit. I had to individually hunt down these caricatures one by one to complete the set which took an incredibly long time to do. These all come with the original box, packaging and identification cards.
