2000s Emporio Armani ‘Plated’ Zip-Up Black Calfskin Leather Jacket
(FOR SALE) A 2000s Emporio Armani ‘Plated’ Zip-Up Black Calfskin Leather Jacket.
Born in 1934, Georgio Armani spent his youth in the northern Italian town of Piacenza. Electing to attend medical school for his post secondary education, Armani was pulled away from school to join the military. It was here that Georgio Armani became more attentive to militaristic uniform-wear, which would be a massive inspiration for his future work under his eponymous label. While taking a leave from the military, Armani began to work as a window dresser for a department store La Rinoscente, where he would go on to work his way up the hierarchical ladder. It was here that he would develop a relationship with his business partner Sergio Galeotti, where the two would go on to found the Armani label in 1975.
Emporia Armani subsidiary label was founded shortly after, allowing Georgio Armaniu to be more experimental and pursue design in a far more informal mannerism. This particular leather jacket has a plated hexagonal leather patch pattern, giving the jacket a scaled texture that looks amazing on body and has apparent layers of depth. With a zipper closure and hand pockets on both sides of the body, this jacket fits a size medium and is in great overall condition. Here is the opportunity to purchase a true gem from Armani’s ‘Emporio Armani’ label.
