From Alessandra Facchinetti’s debut presentation as the womenswear director for the house, the massive shoes of Tom Ford needed to be filled. Facchinetti delivered an outstanding display of chique maximalist design, starkly contrasting the subtlety of Ford’s graceful style.

This particular jacket is undoubtedly the statement piece of the entire collection, with the matching skirt bottom used as the cover image for the Spring Summer 2005 campaign. Coming in a lustrous cream white calfskin leather with minute glitter detailing, this jacket is encrusted with gold metal rings, creating an almost medeival armour around the body. With complimentary gold two way zipper hardware, this piece is truly one of the most intricate runway pieces I’ve seen in years.
