Spring Summer 2001 Maison Margiela Buffalo Leather Washed Green Jacket
Spring Summer 2001 Maison Margiela Buffalo Leather Washed Green Jacket
(FOR SALE) A Spring Summer 2001 Maison Margiela Buffalo Leather Washed Green Jacket.
Martin Margiela’s incredible run at his namesake brand from 1998-2009 remains an incredible part of fashion history that has undoubtedly had a massive trickle-down effect on the entire industry. Martin Margiela’s popularization of the now infamous GAT (German Army Trainer) low top sneakers began in 1999, which has since brought forth some legendary iterations of the timeless low top sneaker.
Debatably one of the greatest Margiela leather jackets of all time, I’ve never before seen this washed green color variant, only the brown leather version which was shown in the lookbook from Spring Summer 2001. Crafted from Buffalo leather, this hide is 3 times thicker than calfskin and has an amazing weighted feel that has aged the jacket beautifully with time. Size 46, fits slightly oversized which is why it’s been listed as a medium. In great overall condition. Here is the opportunity to purchase a legendary piece from Martin Margiela’s time at the helm of his namesake label.
