Studying art at the Otis College of Art and Design, Rick Owens would quickly transition after two years to pattern and draping courses at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College. Following his coursework, Owens would found his own label in 1994, with the core brutalist and deconstructed luxury ethos playing a major role in his creation from the jump. In the present day, Owens’ eponymous label has become a massive success, gaining a new clientele of following from his original consumer base entirely. 

This pair of Rick Owens boots from their Doc Martens collaboration is a great rendition of the classic 1460 Doc Marten shape. With jumbo lacing and an extended tongue length, these boots have a chunkier platformed sole as well, a signature twist that Owens tends to place on recreated footwear designs. Size US 11 (44) in perfect condition, worn once.
