Early 2000s Marithe Francois Girbaud Bondage Cargo Pants
(FOR SALE) An Early 2000’s Marithe François Girbaud ‘Parachute Bondage Strap’ Cargo Pants.
Marithé Bachellerie and François Girbaud have been a designing duo for forty five years. With deep roots intertwined with music history, the surge in 90’s hip-hop style making its revival has been a massive accreditation to the brand’s rising popularity in recent years. M+FG was first recognized on a global scale when rap duo Kris Kross sported their wide-cut denim in their renowned music video “Jump”. Following the number 1 charting hit’s prevalence, Girbaud soared in desirability, with industry leaders such as Biggie Smalls and Ghostface Killah dropping references to the brand of their own, of course, rocking their pieces as well.
This absolute gem from the early 2000’s truly speaks volumes to the technical design and capabilities Bachellerie and Girbaud had in terms of conceptual ideology. Combining a heavyweight gray base layer of rigid cotton with a more flowy and light-toned gray secondary paneling, these insane cargo pants, to me, are super reminiscent of Dolce & Gabbana from the same era. With bondage strap details that allow for the fitment of the bottoms to be adjusted, these cargos are in fantastic overall condition. Coming in a size 28 waist, here is the opportunity to purchase an insane pair of Girbaud cargo pants from the early 2000’s.
