Born in 1934, Georgio Armani spent his youth in the northern Italian town of Piacenza. Electing to attend medical school for his post secondary education, Armani was pulled away from school to join the military. It was here that Georgio Armani became more attentive to militaristic uniform-wear, which would be a massive inspiration for his future work under his eponymous label. While taking a leave from the military, Armani began to work as a window dresser for a department store La Rinoscente, where he would go on to work his way up the hierarchical ladder. It was here that he would develop a relationship with his business partner Sergio Galeotti, where the two would go on to found the Armani label in 1975. 

Emporio Armani subsidiary label was founded shortly after, allowing Georgio Armani to be more experimental and pursue design in a far more informal design language. Made in collaboration with Our Legacy, this jacket is a recreation of one of Armani’s most sought after ‘Auto Blouson’ models from the 1980s. With real mother of pearl button snaps, this jacket is a size extra large and is in perfect overall condition with no flaws.
