Rick Owens Spring 2022 collection, titled “Fogachine”, explored geometric tropes through abstract tailoring and maximalist philosophy. Beginning with Owens’ spouse, Michèle Lamy, the runway retained a distinct sense of authenticity, distorting model’s silhouettes with exaggerated cuts. Pushing focus to use of textile, the designer incorporated laborious mohair weaves and embellished veils, draping down the body effortlessly. As with all of Rick Owens’ portfolio, the collection was concise, executed with utmost accuracy at the Palais de Tokyo.
