Jun Takahashi’s noteworthy Autumn Winter 1997 collection is one of the first Undercover runway presentations to receive high quality coverage and documentation. With a vampiric aesthetic, many of the looks featured skull print patterns and models sported silver fangs, acting as an accessory to the rather hectic looks. With many of these original pieces being re-editioned many years later, it’s clear to see Jun Takahashi’s talents bleeding into his work, long before his Parisian runway debut in 2002. 

Preceding Rick Owens bleached ‘Vomit’ denim by nearly 20 years, this pair of jeans from Takahashi’s Autumn Winter 1997 runway presentation have a faded black base with a washed gray bleach fade, giving the jeans their distorted appearance.
