Carol Christian Poell, born in Linz, Austria in 1966, launched his eponymous avant‑garde brand in Milan in 1995alongside Sergio Simone, blending traditional tailoring with radical experimentation. Drawing on his family’s leather trade, Poell was an innovator in garment dyeing and tanning methods. His design philosophy intentionally challenges comfort and normativity: clothes incorporate titanium, rubber drips, human hair, teeth, bones, and even blood‑dyed leathers to evoke decay, transformation, and philosophical tension.
