Dries Van Noten is a Belgian fashion designer and owner of his namesake label, founded in 1986. One of the many protégées to emerge from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Dries Van Noten’s experience in the industry began at birth, born into the third generation in a family of tailors. Growing up in his father’s carefully selected menswear shop, Noten’s early exposure to fine materials and cuts was a massively influential part of the way his eponymous label has continued to strive for greatness. With an impressively extensive skill set, Dries Van Noten talents were even noticed by King Philippe I in 2017, in which Noten was bestowed the title of ‘Baron’ Van Noten, one of the highest ranking titles of nobility that can be granted to common-folk remaining in European culture.
