Dior

Founding his iconic namesake label in 1946, Christian Dior’s brand origin can be traced back to the aftermath of World War II, when the fashion industry in France was in decline. Dior, who had previously worked as a designer for other fashion houses, saw an opportunity to revive the industry with a new style that would redefine women's fashion. His successful implementation of new luxury created a spark where a flame had previously dwindled. Passing away in 1957, the brand was carried on through his successor Yves Saint Laurent and would go on to become the massive maison that we know and cherish dearly.
