Founded in 1992 by British designer Alexander McQueen, the label quickly gained notoriety for its bold, provocative designs and mastery of tailoring. McQueen’s work was a blend of dark romance and edgy, theatrical elements, with runway shows that challenged traditional fashion norms. Following McQueen's tragic death in 2010, Sarah Burton took over as creative director, continuing to push the boundaries of fashion while honoring McQueen's legacy.
